Two years ago to the day, myself, Jeremy McDaniel from our Greensboro store, and two friends awoke atop the highest point in the lower 48 states—Mount Whitney, CA.
We had just finished an 18-day southbound hike of the John Muir Trail along the crest of the Sierra Nevada mountains, arguably one of the most picturesque hikes in the world.
Jeremy and myself will be presenting a slideshow at the Chesterfield Blue Ridge Mountain Sports in Richmond, VA Tuesday, September 4th at 7pm. Join us as we retell our journey and offer advice and tips for long-distance hiking, why light is right, and the importance of cowboy camping.
